Airfoil Dampers can be built to fit any shape and size air system. Our experience and field research has provided us with the tools and knowledge necessary to build airfoil dampers to any unique set of criteria. Airfoil Dampers are ideal volume control and low leakage applications and are particularly suited to produce less turbulence and noise.
Butterfly Dampers, or Butterfly Backdraft Dampers, can be built to customer specifications are ideal for shut off and backdraft prevention applications when system is not in use. Air Systems has created butterfly backdraft shut off dampers for a variety of customers to satisfy their unique criteria. Seal designs include: Swing-Through, Tadpole, and Step-Seat.
Fresh Air Intake/Gear Drive Dampers
Fresh Air Intake and/or Gear Drive Dampers are more convenient than certain others types, since they run on gears in order to open and close. These gears may be attached to a motor, which makes the system entirely automated. This is less work for personnel in industrial settings.
Variable Inlet Vane (IVD and VIV)
Inlet Vane Dampers, Variable Inlet Vane, and Inlet Box Dampers are ideal for volume control applications. They turn a big fan into a little fan and will provide a 4 to 1 turn down while holding peak static pressure on a fan curve. We’ve built them for spray booths for automotive paint finishing, blow off systems, and fan inlet discharge.
Single Blade Dampers
Single Blade Dampers can be built to fit any shape or size air system and are ideal for low leakage and shut off applications. They are a cost-effective solution for in-duct shut off applications and ideal for paint laden airstreams and low leakage (moderate to high temperature) applications.
Vee Blade (V-Blade) Dampers
Vee Blade (or V-Blade) Dampers can be built to fit and size air system in a rectangular fashion, and are ideal for volume control applications. It is the standard damper to control or balance air in HVAC systems. Some of the industries we’ve built these dampers for are paint finishing and industrial HVAC.
